Winter is fast approaching, so today we'll show you how to care for your hammock as the season draws to a close.
Frame
Be sure not to expose the frame directly to the elements (including snow) during winter. You can place it under a shelter, store it away from direct sunlight, or even bring it into the living room for the winter! If space allows, of course.
If you don't have a place to store the frame, you can disassemble it and pack it in a box (e.g., a shipping box) or, after disassembling it, secure each profile and place it somewhere it won't be in the way.
The stored, unfolded, or secured frame can now await the coming season.
Remember! Before storing the frame, tilt the structure to drain any water from the profiles.
Hammock
At the end of the season â as after every use â we remove the hammock from its stand or any other place it was hanging.

 Also, remember to bring in the mounting accessories. Prolonged exposure to the elements can damage the components, affecting their durability and, consequently, safety of use.
If you want to refresh your hammock after the season or notice any stains from use, you can machine wash it. Use a mild detergent and set the temperature to 30 °C. Classic hammocks and those with spreader bars are washable. We explain in more detail how to properly wash and dry a hammock in this article.

The hammock and its accessories can now be stored in a dedicated bag (if your hammock comes with one) or a plastic bag to prevent the hammock from collecting dust while awaiting winter.
