The secret to a hammock's longevity lies in proper maintenance. Here are some tips on how to care for your hammock 👇
Can the hammock be machine washed?
Yes, most hammocks are machine washable. We recommend a delicate cycle at 30 °C and a mild detergent.
Do not use bleach or harsh textile cleaners, as they could damage the hammock material.

Remember!
Before washing your hammock, it is essential to tie its suspension cords together. This will protect them from damage and tangles.
1. Tie the two ends of the hammock together.
2. Place the joined ends on a flat surface.
3. Tie the suspension lines with string.
4. Done! You can now safely wash your hammock.
Hand washing the hammock
Another way to refresh your hammock is to gently wipe the fabric with a sponge or brush and mild detergent.
The spreader bar hammock is also washable!
In this video, we show you how to separate and attach the hammock fabric to the wooden spreader bar.
Remember!
Before washing, remove all fasteners: carabiners, chains, extensions, etc.
How to dry a hammock?
Before folding the hammock, make sure it is completely dry.
You can dry your hammock both outdoors and indoors. Ideally, take advantage of a sunny day with a little wind. Hang your hammock in a sunny spot, and the breeze will dry it in seconds!
Outdoors, it is best to hang the hammock where you hang your laundry, securing it with clothespins.
We do not recommend using a tumble dryer – this could deform the hammock and/or damage the material.
How to store a hammock?
We recommend unfolding the hammock only when in use. It is best to store it in a dry and shaded place after use.
Thanks to this, the hammock will retain its properties and intense colors.
➜ Hanging the hammock only takes a few seconds – when we plan to use the hammock, we take it with us, hang it up, and use it,
➜ Finally, when we no longer intend to use the hammock, we remove it from its frame, fold/roll it, and store it in a dry and shaded place.
How to store the frame?
The structure can remain outdoors during winter. It can also be moved to a safe indoor location, which avoids dismantling and reassembling it for summer. This way, it will remain in place until the change of season. Remember to tilt the structure and drain condensation water from the profiles.
You can also disassemble the frame and store it in a dry place, in its original box. This way, you will be sure that it will serve you for a long time.
Decor tip! If you have a lot of space at home and want to brighten up your interior, install a hammock indoors and enjoy moments of relaxation all year round!
